SquidSpark, Inc. (“SquidSpark”, “we”, “us”) is an IT & digital consultancy headquartered in Markham, Ontario, Canada and Wilmington, Delaware, USA. This policy explains what information we collect through squidspark.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Site and to inquiries you send us — client engagements are governed by the privacy terms in their own agreements.
Information we collect
We aim to collect as little as the job requires:
- Information you give us — your name, email address, company, and anything you include when you contact us, book an intro call, or subscribe to our newsletter.
- Usage information — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring page) and basic, aggregated analytics about how the Site is used.
- Downloads — our white papers and case studies are free and ungated; we do not require your details to read them.
We do not collect sensitive personal information through the Site, and we do not buy data about you from third parties.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiries and provide the services you ask about.
- To send the newsletter you subscribed to — one short email a month, with a working unsubscribe link in every issue.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site, including diagnosing technical problems and preventing abuse.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Sharing
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the business (hosting, email delivery, analytics), under contracts that limit what they may do with it; with professional advisers where necessary; and where required by law. We may also share it in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger, in which case this policy continues to apply.
Retention & security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it. We protect it with measures we use in our own security practice — encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege administration. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep the risk low and will notify you of a breach where the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — including under Canada’s PIPEDA and applicable U.S. state privacy laws — you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your privacy regulator. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@squidspark.com; we respond within 30 days.
International transfers
We operate in Canada and the United States, and our service providers may process data in either country. Wherever your information is processed, it is protected under this policy.
Children
The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes & contact
